Hamilton GO Centre is at 36 Hunter Street East, downtown. HamiltonLimo.net picks up at the Hunter Street front of the station, tracking your GO train or bus, with 15 minutes of included waiting. Planning fares for a business sedan: $75–100 within Hamilton, $90–115 to Hamilton airport (YHM) and $245–300 to Toronto Pearson, all-in plus HST.
Hamilton GO Centre car service at a glance
The Hamilton GO Centre occupies the 1933 Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo Railway station on Hunter Street East, a Streamline Moderne building that was converted into a GO Transit hub in the 1990s. Today it is two things at once: the downtown terminus for weekday rush-hour Lakeshore West trains, and the city's main GO bus terminal, with express buses to Toronto, the Aldershot rail connector and the route 40 bus to Pearson. A Hamilton GO Centre car service with HamiltonLimo.net is usually the first or last few kilometres of a longer journey: from the train to a home on the Mountain, from the Pearson bus to a hotel, or from the station to a meeting at McMaster.

A business SUV (a black Tahoe or Yukon for up to 5 passengers and 5 bags) adds about 30 %, a luxury van about 50 % and an executive SUV about 65 %; a first-class sedan is about 2.5 times the fare, a Sprinter about 2.75 times and a Jet Sprinter, the VIP lounge Sprinter for up to 7, about 4.65 times. The reservation engine shows your exact fixed fare before you confirm.
What stops at Hamilton GO Centre
- Lakeshore West GO trains on weekdays at rush hour: morning trains leave for Union Station and evening trains from Union end here. Outside those hours, Hamilton's Lakeshore West trains use West Harbour GO instead.
- GO buses, including the QEW express toward Toronto, the connector to Aldershot station for all-day trains and VIA, the route 40 express that runs via Pearson Terminal 1, and Highway 407 services.
- HSR city buses on King, Barton and Cannon, which terminate at or beside the station.
Check routes and times on GO Transit; route numbers and trip patterns change with each schedule update, and Metrolinx posts service changes in advance.
Where your chauffeur meets you
The GO bus bays and the station's reserved parking are for GO buses and permit holders, not for private cars, so our chauffeurs do not pull into the bus loop. The pickup is on the Hunter Street side of the building, at a spot where stopping is permitted, and the chauffeur texts the exact location when the car arrives. Train passengers walk up from the island platform into the station hall and out the Hunter Street doors; bus passengers step off in the bus bays and walk through the station to the same doors. On the rare evening when Hunter Street is blocked by construction or an event, the chauffeur will suggest the corner of James Street South, a two-minute walk.

Tracking trains and GO buses
For a train, give us the GO trip time from Union; dispatch follows its live status. For a GO bus, including the route 40 from Pearson, give us the scheduled arrival; buses on the QEW and the 403 are more exposed to traffic than trains, so dispatch watches the trip and holds the chauffeur until the bus is close. Included waiting is 15 minutes from actual arrival, then 15-minute blocks, with a message before any extra time starts. Because the chauffeur is based in Hamilton, a late train rarely costs you more than a few minutes of waiting.
The Pearson bus or a car?
The GO route 40 bus between Hamilton GO Centre and Pearson Terminal 1 is the budget way to the airport, and for a solo traveller with a carry-on at a sensible hour it is hard to beat on price. The car wins when you have to reach the station first from Ancaster or the Mountain anyway, when you are travelling with family and several suitcases, when your flight leaves early in the morning before a convenient bus, or when you land late and do not want to wait at the Terminal 1 bus bays. Our GO bus versus limo to Pearson guide compares the two honestly, and the Hamilton to Pearson limo page gives the direct fares.
When the GO train alone is enough
If you live within a walk or a short HSR ride of Hunter Street and commute to Toronto at rush hour, the GO train from here is the right answer, and you do not need us. Many Hamilton commuters simply take the train. Where we come in is the gap at either end: the Mountain, Ancaster and Stoney Creek are a drive from the station, winter mornings on the escarpment accesses can be icy, and a late evening train can leave you with a long wait for a city bus. A pre-booked car, with the chauffeur watching the train, closes that gap.
Getting up the Mountain from the station
Most of our Hamilton GO Centre pickups head up the escarpment. From Hunter Street the chauffeur chooses between the James Mountain Road, the Jolley Cut, Claremont Access, Sherman Access and the Kenilworth Access depending on where you live and the weather. In winter, after a snowfall, dispatch favours Claremont and the Linc approach, which are cleared early, over the steeper accesses. A lower city ride to Westdale, Locke Street or the North End takes 10 minutes; Upper James or Upper Stoney Creek takes 15 to 20.
Luggage and families at the GO Centre
GO trains and buses have limited luggage space, so most people who arrive here with big bags have come on the route 40 from the airport. A business sedan takes three passengers and three bags; for a family of five with suitcases book an executive SUV or luxury van. Child seats (infant, convertible or booster) are available for a planning figure of $10–15 each; add them at booking so the right seat is fitted before the car leaves.
Accessibility
The GO Centre is an accessible station with elevator access to the platform. On our side, the chauffeur can fold and stow a wheelchair or walker for a passenger who can transfer into a seat; our own fleet has no ramp vehicles, so for travellers who stay seated in a wheelchair we refer you to a specialist accessible provider. Meet and greet (planning figure $25–35) brings the chauffeur into the station hall to help someone from the platform or the bus bay.
Near the station: hotels, courts and the convention centre
The GO Centre is a few minutes' walk from Gore Park, the Hamilton Convention Centre, the courthouse and the downtown hotels, and a short drive from TD Coliseum. People often book us not from the station itself but from a meeting nearby to the station, or from the station to a venue: a car is useful when it is raining, when you are carrying presentation kit, or when a delegate arrives by GO bus and has a full day of site visits ahead.

Hourly chauffeur from Hamilton GO Centre
For visitors who arrive by train or bus and have several stops, the hourly chauffeur service in Hamilton is better value than a string of one-way rides. One car and one chauffeur for a 3-hour minimum, business sedan planning rate $120–145 per hour all-in plus HST; extra time in 30-minute blocks. A typical day: meet a colleague off the morning GO bus, visit a plant in the east end, lunch on James Street North, a meeting at McMaster, and back to the station for the evening train. A 4-hour sedan booking is $480–580 all-in plus HST. See private chauffeur for how waiting works.
Game days and event nights
On Tiger-Cats and Forge FC home dates at Hamilton Stadium (the former Tim Hortons Field) and big shows at TD Coliseum, downtown and the east-end streets fill up and some special GO service may be added; check GO Transit for event trains. If you are collecting someone from the GO Centre on one of those evenings, book a little earlier and expect the chauffeur to suggest a side-street pickup. Our game day limo page covers group trips to the stadium itself.
Confederation GO, West Harbour and the GO Centre
Hamilton now has three GO rail stations. The GO Centre on Hunter Street is the downtown rush-hour terminus; West Harbour on James Street North has all-day trains; and Confederation GO on Centennial Parkway in Stoney Creek opened in late 2025 for the east end. If you are not sure which station your train uses, tell us the trip and we will send the car to the right one. Pickups at all three are priced the same way.
A typical evening pickup, step by step
A consultant finishes work in Toronto and takes a rush-hour Lakeshore West train that ends at the GO Centre a little after 6:30 p.m. At booking she enters the trip time and her Ancaster address. Dispatch sees the train leave Union on time and sends the chauffeur downtown for a planned arrival five minutes before the train. The train runs eight minutes late past Oakville; the chauffeur holds on a side street rather than idling on Hunter. She walks out of the station hall, the car pulls up within two minutes, and she is home in Ancaster about 20 minutes later, on a $75–100 planning fare with nothing added for the late train.
