HamiltonLimo.net runs an airport limousine service from Hamilton to seven airports: Hamilton (YHM), Toronto Pearson (YYZ), Billy Bishop (YTZ), Buffalo (BUF), Niagara Falls NY (IAG), Waterloo (YKF) and London (YXU). Planning fares in a business sedan run from $90–115 to YHM (15 km) to $415–500 to London (130 km), all-in plus HST, with flight tracking and included waiting on every arrival.
Airport limousine Hamilton: seven airports, one dispatch desk
Most people in Hamilton do not have "an airport". They have a shortlist. The flight that suits a family holiday may leave from Mount Hope, the business trip from Pearson, the Porter flight to Montreal from the Toronto Island, and the cheaper sun package from Buffalo. Our Hamilton airport limousine service is built for that reality: the same booking engine, the same fixed all-in fare logic and the same chauffeurs, whichever airport is on the ticket.
This page is the overview. It sets out planning fares, distances and drive times for all seven airports, explains how departures and arrivals are handled, and helps you choose between them. Each airport also has its own detailed page with terminal-specific pickup notes, linked below, and each of the busiest runs has a route page with a timing guide.
Hamilton airport limousine service fares at a glance
One way from downtown Hamilton, all-in (vehicle, chauffeur, fuel, 407 tolls if used, airport fees, gratuity) plus HST. These are planning figures; the reservation engine quotes the exact fare for your address, date and vehicle before you confirm, and that quote does not change.
| Airport | Distance | Typical drive | Business sedan | Business SUV | Executive SUV (approx.) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hamilton John C. Munro (YHM) | 15 km | 20–25 min | $90–115 | $115–150 | $150–190 |
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | about 70 km | 45–65 min | $245–300 | $320–390 | $405–495 |
| Billy Bishop Toronto City (YTZ) | 70 km | 55–80 min | $275–340 | $360–440 | $455–560 |
| Region of Waterloo (YKF) | 70 km | 50–65 min | $220–270 | $285–350 | $365–445 |
| Niagara Falls International, NY (IAG) | 80 km | 65–90 min | $325–400 | $425–520 | $535–660 |
| Buffalo Niagara International (BUF) | 105 km | 80–110 min | $375–465 | $490–605 | $620–765 |
| London International (YXU) | 130 km | 85–105 min | $415–500 | $540–650 | $685–825 |
A luxury van runs about 50 % above the business sedan, a first-class sedan roughly 2.5 times the business sedan figure and a 14-seat Sprinter about 2.75 times. Pickups in Ancaster, Stoney Creek, Waterdown or Binbrook are quoted from the actual address, so a Waterdown departure to Pearson prices a little lower and a Binbrook pickup a little higher. Everything else about cost, including add-ons, is on the rates page.
Which airport should you fly from?
Price the whole trip, not just the ticket. A quick guide from the dispatch desk:
- Hamilton airport limo (YHM): the closest by far and the least stressful terminal. Routes change by season, so check flyhamilton.ca for what is currently flying.
- Toronto Pearson car service: the most flights and the most long-haul options. Allow for 401 and 427 traffic near the airport.
- Billy Bishop transfer: the downtown Toronto island airport served by Porter and Air Canada, handy for Ottawa, Montreal and US East Coast trips. See billybishopairport.com.
- Buffalo airport limo and Niagara Falls NY airport: US fares and leisure routes, with a border crossing in the drive.
- Waterloo airport (YKF) and London airport (YXU): smaller terminals with seasonal sun flights and some scheduled service; check YKF and YXU for current carriers.
Departures: working back from your flight
We time every departure pickup backwards from the flight. The calculation is: the airline's own check-in and bag-drop cut-off, plus the time you want at the airport before it, plus the drive for that time of day, plus a margin for weather. Airlines publish their cut-offs and they differ, so tell us the flight number and whether you are checking bags, and we will suggest a pickup time with the booking.
As a rough guide, Pearson departures on weekday mornings from the lower city are usually collected two and a half to three and a half hours before a domestic departure and longer for international, because the QEW and 403 build from about 6:30 a.m. YHM departures need far less: the drive is 20–25 minutes and the terminal is compact. Billy Bishop needs more road time than its distance suggests because of downtown Toronto; Buffalo needs border time. Security wait guidance for Canadian airports is published by CATSA.
Arrivals: what happens after you land
- Before you fly you receive the chauffeur's name and mobile number, and the pickup instructions for your terminal.
- When the aircraft lands the chauffeur has already been watching its progress and is positioned near the airport.
- Once you have your bags you text or call the chauffeur, who brings the car to the commercial pickup area at the curb.
- The chauffeur loads the luggage, confirms the destination and heads for Hamilton, usually by the 403 or the QEW from Toronto and by the Linc or Upper James from Mount Hope.
If your phone has no service after an international flight, the chauffeur will still be at the curb area described in your instructions. Airport Wi-Fi is enough to send a message.

Flight tracking: how the chauffeur knows when you land
Every airport pickup is booked against a flight number and tracked. If the flight leaves late, lands early or diverts, the chauffeur's timing follows the aircraft, not the schedule you booked weeks ago. You do not have to call us from the gate to say you are delayed. What you should do is tell us if you change flights: a rebooking onto a different flight number is a new flight as far as tracking is concerned, and we re-time the car at no charge while we can still cover it. A missed connection in Montreal or Chicago that puts you on a later flight is common, so a quick text with the new number keeps everything aligned.
Included waiting: 30 minutes or 60 minutes, and after that
Included waiting starts from the actual landing time, not the scheduled time:
- 30 minutes after Canadian domestic flights and flights from the United States.
- 60 minutes after all other international arrivals, because immigration, customs and baggage take longer.
- After that, waiting is charged in 15-minute blocks at the rate shown on your booking.
For other pickups, such as a hotel or a house, 15 minutes are included. If you know you will be slow off the aircraft (a wheelchair assist, oversized baggage, a pet in the hold), tell us when booking and we will plan for it.
Curbside pickup or meet and greet inside arrivals
The fare includes curbside pickup at the terminal's commercial pickup area, which is where pre-arranged limousines are directed to wait. It is quick and suits most regular travellers. For a first-time visitor, an older parent, a child travelling with a relative, or anyone who would rather not hunt for a car, add meet and greet: the chauffeur parks, comes inside to the arrivals hall with a name board and walks you to the car. The planning figure for meet and greet is $25–35, added at booking. Without it, please do not expect the chauffeur inside the terminal.
Customs, bags and the 60-minute rule
International arrivals at Pearson clear Canadian customs before reaching the arrivals hall, and the queue can be short or long depending on how many wide-bodies land together. That is why we include a full hour after non-US international flights. Arrivals from the United States usually move faster. Returning Canadians and visitors can find current declaration and entry rules from the Canada Border Services Agency. If you land at Buffalo or Niagara Falls NY, you will cross the border by road in our car instead, which the chauffeur handles as part of the trip; our guide to crossing the border by limo explains the documents.
Choosing a vehicle for airport runs
Airport trips are decided by luggage more often than by passengers:
- Business sedan: up to 3 passengers and 3 large bags. Right for most solo and couple trips.
- First-class sedan: the same capacity with an S-Class or 7 Series cabin, for executives and special occasions.
- Executive SUV or luxury van: up to 6 passengers and 6 bags. Families with car seats, ski or golf bags, or four adults with checked luggage.
- Sprinter: up to 14 passengers and 14 bags, for teams, wedding guests and tour groups.
- Jet Sprinter: up to 7 passengers and 5 bags in a VIP lounge Sprinter with captain's chairs and work tables; $650–750 an hour, or about $1,140–1,395 one way from downtown Hamilton to Pearson.
Two couples with two large cases each already need an SUV. When in doubt, tell us the number of checked bags and carry-ons and dispatch will choose.
Children, seats and help with mobility
Infant, convertible and booster seats are available on request, planning figure $10–15 each, and must be added at booking so the car leaves the garage with them fitted. Strollers fold into the trunk of any SUV or van. Our own fleet has no ramp-equipped vehicles: for passengers who can transfer to a seat, the chauffeur folds and stows a wheelchair or walker; for a ramp vehicle we will point you to a specialist accessible provider. Airlines arrange wheelchair assistance inside the terminal, so book that with the airline and tell us it is booked.
Early departures and late-night arrivals
Airport runs keep odd hours. A 6:00 a.m. Pearson departure means a 3:00 a.m. pickup in Hamilton; a delayed evening flight from the Caribbean can land after midnight. The fixed fare is the same at 3:00 a.m. as at 3:00 p.m., and dispatch confirms early pickups the evening before. On the way home the roads are empty, so a late arrival at Pearson can reach downtown Hamilton close to the 45-minute end of the range. The first flights out of YHM are popular with families because the whole trip, door to gate, can take well under an hour.
Winter, the escarpment and airport days
From December to March our planning changes. Lake-effect squalls cross the QEW near the Skyway, and the escarpment accesses such as the Jolley Cut, the Claremont and Sherman slow down or close in bad storms. For YHM, which sits on the Mountain, a lower-city pickup in a storm may add 10–15 minutes. Chauffeurs check forecasts and Ontario 511 before early runs, all cars run winter tires, and dispatch will call you to move a pickup earlier when a storm is forecast, rather than rushing on the road.

Two airports, a station or a hotel in one trip
Some itineraries need two stops at the airport end. A family flies into Buffalo and a grandparent arrives at YHM the same afternoon; a traveller lands at Pearson and connects to a VIA train at Union Station. These can be booked as linked one-way trips, but when the gap is short, an hourly booking is often cheaper and certainly calmer, because the car and chauffeur stay with you through the wait. Private flights are handled by our private aviation team at the FBOs.
Hourly airport days: land, meet and fly out
The product we recommend most is the hourly chauffeur in Hamilton, and airports are where it shines. A consultant lands at YHM at 8:00 a.m., has meetings in the lower city and Burlington, and flies out of Pearson at 7:00 p.m. Booked as one business sedan from 8:00 a.m. to about 5:00 p.m., that is nine hours at $120–145 per hour, so $1,080–1,305 all-in plus HST. The bag stays in the trunk all day, the chauffeur handles the timing to Pearson, and nobody waits for a ride between meetings. Hourly bookings have a 3-hour minimum in sedans, SUVs, vans and Sprinters, with extra time in 30-minute blocks.
Cross-border airports: documents in the car
Buffalo and Niagara Falls NY involve a land crossing, usually at the Peace Bridge for BUF and the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge for IAG. Everyone in the car needs documents that are valid for the United States on the way out and for Canada on the way back: a passport, a passport card, a NEXUS card or an enhanced driver's licence for Canadian and US citizens, and a passport with any required visa for other nationalities. Check US Customs and Border Protection before you go. The Buffalo planning fare is $375–465 in a sedan; our Hamilton to Buffalo airport route explains the timing.
Groups, teams and wedding guests
For groups, a coordinator can build a written plan across several flights: a Sprinter for the Friday afternoon arrivals at Pearson, sedans for the stragglers, and a morning shuttle back on Monday. Sports teams and school trips flying out of Hamilton usually take one or two Sprinters, which at about 2.75 times the sedan fare cost more than splitting taxis but keep the whole team, and its bags, in one vehicle on one schedule. Partner coaches carry 24–56 passengers when a group is larger; those are priced in writing by a coordinator.
Booking direct: what the engine asks for
Booking on HamiltonLimo.net's own engine, from any page or through our booking page, takes a few minutes and gives you the fixed fare before you confirm. Have ready: the airport and terminal if known, the flight number, the pickup address, the number of passengers, checked bags and carry-ons, any child seats, and whether you want meet and greet. For a departure we suggest a pickup time; you can change it. There is no app to install and no marketplace in between, just one dispatch desk. The two busiest routes have their own pages: Hamilton to Pearson limo and Hamilton to Billy Bishop.
Delays, changes and cancellation
Changing a pickup time or a flight number is free while we can still cover it. The cancellation rule is measured from the scheduled pickup: more than 72 hours before, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10 %; 48 hours or less, 50 %; 24 hours or less, or a no-show, the full fare. A flight cancelled by the airline is different: tell us as soon as you know and we will re-time the car to the rebooked flight rather than charge a no-show. If you only want a price comparison with taxis and rideshare first, read our airport taxi and flat-rate car comparison.
