Wedding limo cost in Ontario is hourly. Hamilton planning figures, all-in plus 13 % HST: first-class sedan $285–350/h, stretch limousine $350–450/h (4-hour minimum), Sprinter $330–385/h, Rolls-Royce from $675/h. Most couples spend $2,900–6,500 with tax; a sedan-only day can be under $1,600, and a full fleet with guest shuttles passes $11,000. Hours booked, not kilometres, decide the bill.
The question "how much is a wedding limo?" has a frustrating true answer: it depends on hours and vehicles. So this post does the arithmetic for you. Below are four complete budgets for Hamilton-area weddings, every line shown, HST included, plus the choices that push a budget up or down. For how to plan and contract the day, read our guide to booking a wedding limo; for the vehicles themselves, see wedding limo Hamilton.
All figures are HamiltonLimo.net planning ranges for cars dispatched from Hamilton. Operators in Toronto, Ottawa or elsewhere in Ontario set their own prices, so use these as a benchmark, not a province-wide tariff.
What does the hourly wedding rate actually include?
A wedding car quote should be all-in except tax. In our figures, the hourly number covers:
- The vehicle and a professional chauffeur for every booked hour.
- Fuel, and 407 ETR tolls if the route uses the 407.
- Gratuity. It is already inside the figure; nothing is added on the night.
- Bottled water, umbrellas and the classic white ribbon on request.
Not included, and worth budgeting separately:
- HST at 13 %, shown as its own line.
- Extra time beyond the booked hours, charged in 30-minute blocks at the same rate.
- Cleaning if someone is sick or the interior is damaged, documented with photos.
- Child seats for flower girls or ring bearers, planning figure $10–15 each.
If another operator's quote looks cheaper, check whether gratuity, fuel or a "service charge" is added later. Our explainer on whether gratuity is included shows what to look for.
Budget 1: the small wedding or elopement, under $1,600
Two people plus a witness, a civic ceremony at Hamilton City Hall or a small chapel, dinner at a restaurant.
| Line | Detail | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| First-class sedan | 4 hours at $285–350/h | $1,140–1,400 |
| HST 13 % | $148–182 | |
| Total | $1,288–1,582 |
Four hours covers pickup, the ceremony, a 45-minute photo walk at Bayfront Park or the Royal Botanical Gardens and the drive to dinner. The couple rides in an S-Class or 7 Series class car from our own fleet. If you only need the ride from ceremony to restaurant, three hours drops the total to $966–1,187.
Budget 2: the classic stretch plus a send-off car, about $2,950–3,750
Wedding party of eight, church ceremony and a banquet hall reception, both in Hamilton.
| Line | Detail | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Stretch limousine (partner) | 5 hours at $350–450/h | $1,750–2,250 |
| First-class sedan send-off | 3 hours at $285–350/h | $855–1,050 |
| Subtotal | $2,605–3,300 | |
| HST 13 % | $339–429 | |
| Total | $2,944–3,729 |
The stretch carries the couple and the party from 1 pm to 6 pm. Instead of keeping it idle through dinner and speeches, a separate sedan takes the couple from the reception to their hotel at midnight. That split is almost always cheaper than holding one large vehicle for ten or eleven hours.
Budget 3: Rolls-Royce, a wedding party Sprinter and a late guest run, from about $6,030
Wedding party of twelve, ceremony in Ancaster, photos at the Royal Botanical Gardens, reception in Burlington, guests at a Burlington hotel.
| Line | Detail | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Rolls-Royce (partner) | 4 hours from $675/h | from $2,700 |
| Sprinter, wedding party | 5 hours at $330–385/h | $1,650–1,925 |
| Sprinter, late guest run | 3 hours at $330–385/h | $990–1,155 |
| Subtotal | from $5,340 | |
| HST 13 % | from $694 | |
| Total | from about $6,034 |
If the Rolls-Royce books at its starting rate, the subtotal is $5,340–5,780 and the total $6,034–6,531. The late run moves 14 guests from the reception to a hotel in two loops; see the Burlington hotels page for where cars stop.

Budget 4: the big day with guest shuttles, from about $11,030
Wedding party of ten, 160 guests, ceremony and reception at different venues, two hotel blocks.
| Line | Detail | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Rolls-Royce (partner) | 6 hours from $675/h | from $4,050 |
| Stretch limousine (partner) | 6 hours at $350–450/h | $2,100–2,700 |
| Party bus, guest loops (partner) | 5 hours at $650–750/h | $3,250–3,750 |
| Business sedan for grandparents | 3 hours at $120–145/h | $360–435 |
| Subtotal | from $9,760 | |
| HST 13 % | from $1,269 | |
| Total | from about $11,029 |
At the Rolls-Royce's starting rate the subtotal runs $9,760–10,935, or roughly $11,030–12,355 with HST. Large guest lists sometimes need a coach instead of a party bus, which a coordinator prices in writing.
What pushes a wedding limo quote up?
Five things, in order of impact:
- Hours. Every extra hour of a stretch adds $350–450 before tax. Photos that run long are the usual cause.
- Vehicle class. A Rolls-Royce costs roughly three times a first-class sedan per hour.
- Number of vehicles. Each added car carries its own minimum.
- Date. Saturdays from late May to early October are when partner prestige cars are scarcest.
- Distance. A Niagara winery wedding is about 70 km and 50–60 minutes each way from Hamilton, and that driving sits inside your hours. See Niagara-on-the-Lake for routes.
What does a wedding limo cost per hour of actual use?
Here is a number couples rarely see. On a typical five-hour booking, the car is moving for about 90 minutes. The rest is waiting at the ceremony, at the photo site and at the reception door. That is not waste: the waiting is what lets the day run on your schedule rather than on a taxi's arrival. But it is why trimming idle hours saves more than choosing a cheaper vehicle. Our overtime charges explainer shows how 30-minute blocks work if the day runs long.
Seven ways to cut the wedding transport bill without it showing
- Book the send-off separately instead of holding the big car through dinner.
- Swap a stretch for an executive SUV if the party is six or fewer: $190–235/h with a 3-hour minimum instead of $350–450 with a 4-hour minimum.
- Use one Sprinter twice: the wedding party in the afternoon, then guest loops at night, if the gap allows.
- Choose a Friday, Sunday or November-to-April date when partner cars are easier to find.
- Cut one photo location. Each one costs 30–45 minutes once you count walking and dresses.
- Keep venues close. Ceremony and reception within 15 km of each other keeps legs to 15–25 minutes.
- Put parents in their own car only if they need it. Many ride in the Sprinter.
Is a stretch limo worth it, or is a Sprinter better value?
For eight to ten people, a stretch limousine costs a little more per hour than a Sprinter ($350–450 against $330–385), and they are different experiences. The stretch is lower, longer and more photogenic; the Sprinter has forward-facing seats, standing headroom and room for gowns. The stretch also carries a 4-hour minimum against the Sprinter's 3. Our stretch limo page compares them in detail. For many parties the right answer is the Sprinter for comfort and one prestige car for the couple. For a small bridal party of up to seven who want a lounge rather than a bench, the Jet Sprinter adds captain's chairs and tables at $650–750 an hour.

Deposits and when you pay
Expect a deposit when you confirm to hold the vehicles, with the balance before the wedding. Pay by card through the booking engine so you have a record, and never hand a balance to a chauffeur in cash. Cancellation is measured from each vehicle's scheduled pickup: more than 72 hours, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10 %; 48 hours or less, 50 %; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100 %. Partner prestige cars may carry additional terms, and the written plan states them before you sign.
Hidden costs to ask about with any operator
- A "fuel surcharge" or "service fee" added after the hourly rate.
- Gratuity of 15–20 % added at the end.
- Garage-to-garage billing, where the clock starts when the car leaves the operator's yard.
- Minimums that differ from what the website says.
- Charges for ribbons or décor that were "included".
Ask for the total with HST on one line. Operator standards vary; members of LimousineAssociation.International commit to vehicle age rules, which is one question worth asking of anyone.
Where the wedding day itself happens: venues and permits
Transport costs rise when a plan depends on a permit that falls through and the car has to wait. The Royal Botanical Gardens sells garden photography access, and many wineries listed by Wine Country Ontario set rules for wedding vehicles on their lanes. Marriage licences are separate and set by the province; see getting married in Ontario. Confirm permits before you set the hours.
A worked example: the Niagara winery wedding from Hamilton
Winery weddings change the maths because of distance. Picture a bride getting ready in Stoney Creek, a ceremony and reception at a Niagara-on-the-Lake winery, and a wedding party of ten.
- The Sprinter leaves Stoney Creek at 1:30 pm and reaches the winery around 2:30 pm, roughly 60 km and 45–55 minutes on the QEW, plus loading time.
- Photos run in the vineyard rows from 4:00 to 5:15 pm, so the vehicle stays on site.
- The Sprinter is released at 6:00 pm after the reception entrance: 4.5 hours, billed as 4.5 in 30-minute blocks, $1,485–1,735 before tax.
- The couple's send-off at midnight to a Niagara-on-the-Lake inn is a short local ride, but the car still travels from Hamilton, so a 3-hour first-class sedan booking, $855–1,050, is the honest way to price it.
Total: about $2,340–2,785 plus HST, or $2,644–3,147 with tax. The same plan held in Hamilton would be roughly an hour shorter.
What wedding transportation costs per guest
Couples often compare transport to the catering line, so here is that view. Using Budget 3 above at about $6,030–6,530 with HST and 120 guests, transportation works out to roughly $50–54 a guest. Budget 2 for 100 guests is $29–37 a guest. Budget 4 for 160 guests is about $69–77 a guest. Guest shuttles raise the total but often replace a bar-close taxi problem, and they keep guests who have been drinking out of their own cars.
The hourly chauffeur beyond the wedding day
Weddings bring relatives in for several days. Instead of three extra one-way bookings, many families keep an hourly private chauffeur for the day before or after: airport pickups in the morning, a rehearsal dinner, then hotel drops. A 4-hour business sedan is $480–580 plus HST, often less than the separate trips.
How to get your exact wedding price
Send the timeline, addresses, headcounts and vehicle wishes through HamiltonLimo.net's own booking page. Own-fleet sedans, SUVs and Sprinters show a fixed all-in fare in the reservation engine; weddings with partner cars, party buses or several vehicles are priced in writing by a coordinator. Either way you book direct, with one dispatch desk and no marketplace commission. Next, use our wedding limo calculator to size the fleet.
