HamiltonLimo.net provides pre-booked black cars at Brantford Municipal Airport (IATA YFD, ICAO CYFD) on Aviation Avenue in Brantford. The field is about 40 km and 30–40 minutes from downtown Hamilton by Highway 403; a business sedan is $145–175 one way as a planning range, all-in plus HST. Send dispatch the tail number and handler and we time the car to your arrival.
Brantford Airport car service: the short version
Brantford Municipal Airport is a city-owned general-aviation field on Aviation Avenue, close to Highway 403. The City of Brantford's airport page describes it as a certified Airport of Entry for domestic and international passenger and cargo aircraft, with fuel, maintenance and FBO services on site. It has no airline service, so nobody lands there expecting a taxi rank. HamiltonLimo.net fills that gap: a black car and a professional chauffeur waiting when you shut down, a fixed fare to Hamilton, Paris, Burlington, Pearson or downtown Toronto, and the option to keep the car by the hour for a day of meetings.
Who uses Brantford Airport
Brantford is a working airfield. The city's services page lists the Brantford Flight Centre as the FBO providing fuel, hangars and aircraft rental, the Brantford Flying Club for training, several maintenance and avionics shops, and a café in the terminal. That mix tells you who we meet there: owners flying their own aircraft in for maintenance or an avionics upgrade, students and instructors with family coming to pick them up, business visitors on light twins and turboprops heading to Brantford's industrial parks or to Hamilton, and aircraft clearing customs on arrival from the United States. We also meet ferry pilots dropping an aircraft for service who need a ride to Pearson for the airline home.
The field at a glance
From the city's airport features and pilot information page, read on 30 September 2026:
- Runways: 05/23 at 5,000 ft by 100 ft, plus 11/29 and 17/35 at about 2,600 ft, all asphalt.
- Night flying: runway edge and threshold lighting with pilot-controlled activation; published instrument approaches.
- Fuel: 100LL avgas and Jet A-1 through the Brantford Flight Centre, which publishes daytime hours.
- Fees: the city says recreational and general-aviation aircraft pay no landing fees; commercial turbine aircraft do.
- Customs: an Airport of Entry, with CBSA arranged in advance.
Pilots must confirm current hours and procedures in the flight supplement and with the airport; this list is for trip planning, not navigation.

How the car meets the aircraft
At a field like Brantford the handling arrangements change with the operator, the time of day and whether the Flight Centre is staffed. We ask for the tail number, the FBO or handler you are using and your estimated arrival. The dispatcher follows the flight, and the chauffeur arrives before you do, parks at the terminal or the FBO's landside door and checks in. Access to the apron is controlled by the airport and the operator; if they permit a vehicle airside, they escort it, and otherwise the chauffeur meets you at the gate or the terminal door and takes the bags. Evening and weekend arrivals outside the FBO's published hours deserve a call to the operator beforehand so someone can open up.

Customs for international private arrivals
Aircraft arriving from outside Canada can clear at Brantford because it is an Airport of Entry, but CBSA attends by arrangement rather than being posted there full time, and the published service window is limited. The pilot or operator arranges clearance with CBSA before departure, following the rules on the CBSA site; members of the CANPASS private and corporate aircraft programs may be eligible for expedited clearance. For the car this means one thing: the chauffeur waits outside until the officer releases everyone. International arrivals include 60 minutes of waiting from actual arrival, so a routine clearance costs you nothing.
Waiting time and flexibility
A flight from elsewhere in Canada or from the United States includes 30 minutes of waiting after arrival; any other origin includes 60. After that, waiting is billed in 15-minute blocks and shown on the receipt. Private schedules slip for weather, a late passenger or a maintenance squawk, and the dispatcher re-times the car at no charge as long as we hear before the pickup time. If the day is unpredictable from the start, book the car hourly and stop worrying about the clock.
Hourly chauffeur for business visitors and crews
Brantford's industrial parks, the Grand River corridor and Hamilton are all within half an hour of each other, so a visiting executive can cover a lot of ground in one afternoon. An hourly chauffeur in Hamilton and Brant County keeps one car and one driver with you for a 3-hour minimum: plant tour in Brantford, lunch in Paris, meeting in Hamilton, back to the aircraft. Planning ranges are $120–145 per hour for a business sedan, $190–235 for an executive SUV and $285–350 for a first-class sedan, all-in plus HST. For a structured itinerary with several companies, see roadshows and site visits. Crews leaving an aircraft in maintenance can book a one-way to Pearson or Hamilton on the same reservation.
Maintenance drop-offs and ferry flights
Because the field has several maintenance and avionics shops, a common booking is one-way: an owner or ferry pilot drops an aircraft and needs to get home or to an airline. The run to Pearson is about 90 km; to Hamilton airport (YHM) it is roughly 35–40 minutes across the south side of the city, which suits a pilot connecting to a flight there. When the aircraft is ready, we reverse it: pickup at home or at the airline curb, straight back to Aviation Avenue. Give us the shop's expected completion time and we will book both legs, with the return moved as the shop's schedule moves.
Choosing the vehicle
- Business sedan: one to three passengers; the usual choice for a pilot or a single executive.
- Business SUV: up to 5 passengers and 5 bags in a black Tahoe or Yukon, close to sedan money with winter traction; about $190–230 to downtown Hamilton, or $145–175 an hour.
- First-class sedan: for a principal, an investor visit or a client you want to impress.
- Executive SUV: up to six passengers and flight bags, headsets and luggage; comfortable in winter.
- Luxury van: six passengers with an easy entry.
- Sprinter: up to 14, for a charter group or a delegation visiting a plant.
- Jet Sprinter: a lounge conversion for up to 7 and 5 bags, captain's chairs and work tables, for investors touring a plant who want to talk on the way; $650–750 an hour.
Child seats are added at booking at a planning figure of $10–15 each. Wheelchairs and walkers are folded and stowed for passengers who can transfer to a seat; ramp-vehicle trips are referred to a specialist provider.
The drive from Brantford Airport to Hamilton
The route is Highway 403 east almost the whole way: past Ancaster, down the escarpment through the Chedoke section and into the lower city at Main and King. For the upper city or YHM, the chauffeur leaves the 403 for the Linc. The 403 hill between Ancaster and Aberdeen Avenue is the one stretch that suffers in snow and in afternoon rush, and we plan around it from December to March. We check Ontario 511 before every departure. Visitors heading into Brantford itself will find local rides on our Brantford city page.
Connecting to Pearson and downtown Toronto
For an airline connection, the car usually takes the 403 east through Hamilton and Burlington, then the QEW or the 407 into Mississauga; the fare already includes the 407 toll if we use it. Allow 60–80 minutes to Pearson and more at rush hour. Our Pearson FBO page covers the jet side of Pearson, and the Hamilton to Pearson route explains airline-terminal timing. Downtown Toronto and Union Station are 75–105 minutes, and the Gardiner is the usual final approach.
Nearby hotels, Paris and Brant County
Business visitors usually stay in downtown Brantford near the Grand River, along the Highway 403 hotel strip, or in Paris, the small town up the river known for its riverside main street. Our guide to Brantford hotels explains where cars stop and what the rides cost, and the Paris, Ontario page covers the town. For evenings out, Elements Casino Brantford is a short drive from most hotels; see casinos near Hamilton. The City of Brantford and County of Brant publish local event calendars.
Seasons at Brantford
Summer is fly-in season across southern Ontario, and weekends at Brantford can be busy with visiting aircraft; the city's airport pages list its own events. Winter changes the ground side more than the air side: the 403 hill into Hamilton and the rural roads around the field ice up first, and the chauffeur leaves early. Harvest weekends in Norfolk County to the south and the Niagara wine season to the east bring leisure passengers who want to continue by car; ask about combining the airport pickup with an hourly day in wine country.
